For the past few weeks, I’ve been a little obsessed with watching home/room organization shows, videos, pictures, etc. I recently watched Clean Freaks, an HGTV one hour show hosted by Sabrina Soto. It aired on March 31 and I’ve been watching it non-stop ever since. The show features Sabrina Soto venturing across the country to meet the nation’s most organized people. The show gave me a lot of organizing and DIY ideas, which I want to do over the next few months.

I’m usually a very organized person, but I have to admit, I let my room become a huge mess during the past two months. I left papers scattered, my closet was definitely a Monica closet. I had so much junk. About two weeks ago, I decided to do something about it. I bought two drawer storage units to store all my files, binders, everything office/academic related.

I also bought a bunch of shoe boxes so I can organize my shoes in my closet. I had most of them on the floor, so I did this more out of necessity. The organization aesthetic was a big plus. In the picture below, you can see what a difference a few shoe boxes make, the picture shows just a portion of my shoes, I have boxes on the opposite side of the closet as well. The shoes are easier to access now. One thing on my to-do list is to put a polaroid-esque picture of each pair on the boxes.
