Today I’m going to mention some of My Favorite Things from this month. This is a monthly link up created by Raisa and Eirene, where we talk about our favorite things (movies, games, books, you name it!) from the current or past month.
I haven’t felt this way about a television series in a long time. I fell in love with this series and I am incredibly excited that they officially announced that it has been renewed for a second season. The first season is only eight episodes, and I enjoyed every bit of it. If you have a Netflix subscription, please do yourself a favor and watch it. I’m pretty sure you won’t regret it.
This year, I’ve been participating in a Summer Backlog Challenge. The goal is to set an amount you want to complete during the summer and try to reach the goal. This challenge begun on June 1 and will end on September 30. I’ve already completed 11 games and Far Cry 3 was the last game I finished. I really enjoyed playing it. I love open-world games, and I definitely had fun in this one.
My husband heard about this game from a podcast and we got it when it came out (it was on sale, always a plus!). This game is so fun and addicting! It only has local co-op for now, so we’ve been enjoying sitting in our living room and playing together. It gets harder and harder as you keep finishing levels. We are currently on “world” five if I’m not mistaken. Hopefully we can play some more this weekend!
This game was part of Playstation Plus’ Free Games this month. The game is so much fun. Think Tetris, but with gravity and magic! It supports multiplayer and there can be up to 4 players in a round. This game is perfect to play with friends. It can get very frustrating and bring out your inner rage, but it’s part of the fun.
I love reading, but I stopped for a very long time after I got married and worked on getting our home organized. Reading is an anxiety therapy for me so I knew I needed to start reading again. When I stopped, I was halfway through Looking for Alaska by John Green. I’m working on finishing that one and then continue reading some of his other novels (I have one of his collections).
I still have The Maze Runner series unopened, so that’s also on my to-read list. If you have a Goodreads profile, feel free to follow me. Will be updating my profile within the next few days.
I recently got Adobe Creative Cloud and I’m loving all the new features. I mainly use Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro, but definitely want to test out the other programs that are part of the CC collection.
What are are some of the things you’ve been loving this month? Let me know in the comments!
Today I’m going to mention some of My Favorite Things from last month. This is a monthly link up created by Raisa and Eirene, where we talk about our favorite things (movies, games, books, you name it!) from the current or past month.
Lately I’ve been playing a lot of ARK: Survival Evolved. This game was released early as part of March’s Humble Monthly. I played a little bit of it a few months ago during a free weekend and liked it. Now that I have the full game I’ve been learning the ropes, getting resources together and building a house. ARK is basically a more realistic version of Minecraft, with dinosaurs and other goodies.
Another game I’ve been playing frequently this past month is Warface, a free-to-play FPS game available on Steam. It has a huge community (especially from countries like Spain and Brazil), but it can get difficult to gather money to rent weapons and armor without having to spend real-life money.
A mobile game I’ve been also playing is Lara Croft GO. I rarely play games on my phone but I’ve been hooked with this one. I got the game on sale at the Google Play Store for $0.99.
Epica is my favorite symphonic metal band. When I found out they were coming to PR, I went crazy. My husband bought us tickets as my birthday present. The concert was on February 9 and I had an amazing time. The concert was spectacular. I am hoping they do come back once they release their new album.
I watched the Deadpool movie during opening weekend and I absolutely loved it. I thought the promotion marketing for the movie was outstanding, using Social Media as an essential part of their promotions, and it worked. The movie had the biggest R-rated opening weekend with $132.7 million. Outstanding. If you haven’t watched the movie, go see it. I must warn you, if you are easily offended or you’re under 18 years old, then I suggest you don’t watch it.
I’ve been watching Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments since it came out. It is being aired on Freeform. I read City of Bones and watched the feature-film released in 2013. I am really liking the show will keep watching. I need to read the rest of the books from the Mortal Instruments series, although I’ve seen that they’ve changed some things on the show. People usually get upset by this, but we need to remember that all films and shows based on a book are adaptations and there will probably be some changes done.
What were some of your favorite things from February?
