Starting tomorrow, I will be traveling with my husband to San Diego, CA. We will be there for a week, attending the Alternatives 2016 conference. This is organized by and for mental health consumers/survivors.
During our free time, we plan on visiting some landmarks and restaurants. I will be taking pictures and trying to make use out of Instagram Stories and Snapchat, while also trying to blog. If I can’t, I will do my best to compile a list of places we went to that we can recommend.
If you would like to follow me on any of those platforms, here’s the information:

My boyfriend and I have been planning to go to New York City and San Diego, CA on July for quite some time. I’ve been saving up money for a few months and I have $750 saved up. I should have way more but I had to take out some money from my savings account to pay some stuff. If it weren’t for that, I’d have $1000+. The thing is, as much as I want to go to New York City (it has been my dream since I was little), do I NEED to go this year? Is it something that will make everything better? No.
Don’t get me wrong, a trip to NYC would be amazing, but I believe that good things can wait. We decided to wait another year or two to go, that way, we can save more money and we’ll be more comfortable and ready for our trip. If we went ahead and made the arrangements to go this summer, we wouldn’t have enough money to really enjoy the trip, we would be very limited, and that’s something we don’t want.
Instead, we’ll probably stay at a charming Inn or Hotel for a weekend during the summer, I’m really looking forward to that.
Do you have any travel plans for the summer?
