When you first start out blogging, there’s usually a million questions in your head about how different things work. I know I had them when I started out when I was 12. It would have been nice to have someone that could answer some of those questions and help me if I needed it.
This is why I believe that bloggers should help and support each other. It’s a great feeling to know that you’re not alone, and at the same time you’re building a community.
Recently, Angie, Ana, Randi and I opened a blogging community called, Byte Sized Network. We all believe in community and helping each other, which is why we created this little space to provide resources, and a place where bloggers can learn and share. This community will help new and veteran bloggers. Our goal is to provide a friendly community with knowledge, resources and tools to help you run and/or improve your blog.
Sign up at the forum if you’d like. All of us are there to help you in any way we can. We want to know the person behind the blog. We all share the same passion, which is blogging, why not make the best of it and be part of a community where your blog stats don’t matter? If you’re interested in joining, please visit our website to get started.
I think this is an absolutely wonderful initiative, and so I joined! :)
I first started blogging when it was all about making friends, and not about your page rank or the amount of free goodies you get, when I got back into it a couple months ago I found the blogging world much changed… I hope to be able to contribute too so that we all together can form a more intimate blogging community!
Completely agree Maria! The first priority with blogging should be about staying true to who you are, the page rank/stats/giveaways/goodies shouldn’t matter. Blogging is such a great way to meet people and create a community that I find it sad that it’s gearing more towards the money making aspect of it. While it is nice to be able to make some money off of your blog, it shouldn’t be the priority.
Looks nice! I just joined the forum. I like the idea of a community for bloggers who just, eh, blog, without money involved.
It’s sad that most of the times bloggers just focus on the money making aspect/stats of blogging. While it may be nice to get some opps, that’s not what we’re focusing on with Byte Sized.
It really is a wonderful community, and I’m happy to be a member! Everyone is so nice :)
That’s what I love about it too, everyone is nice, are helping each other out and there’s no sense of entitlement anywhere.
I recently joined, and I have to admit that I am very happy that I decided to join. Everyone is super friendly, and I am coming across all kinds of great blogs to read. :)
I’m glad, Jessica. I thought you had stopped blogging, I will definitely check out your site.
