Code, Code, Code

That’s all I saw for the past few weeks, a lot of code. I had a Web Development Final Project which was to make a shopping cart site using PHP and MySQL. The project was supposed to be done by two people but I decided to do it alone because I hate working with people from uni, most of them are so irresponsible and I don’t have the patience to deal with that. I got an A in the class so the hard work paid off. I also had my Data Structures and Database Programming finals, and I survived.

I’m at the time where I don’t have a lot of classes left to graduate, I just have three Computer Science courses left and all the math courses, I made a mistake of letting the math classes stack up until now. But I’m in no rush. With everything I’ve learned, I would love to do web development/design as my primary work alternative. It’s what I really enjoy doing and I really hope that I’ll be able to find opportunities within that area.

  1. It’s great that you have chose what you want to do. I worked alone on my senior project so I know what you mean. It was chat software what used encryption. Although working with other programmers gets us experience with project management.

  2. Nothing better than studying what you love doing. I know absolutely nothing about your field, but as long as it puts a smile on your geeky face I am happy. :)

  3. That’s pretty cool that you managed to figure out how to configure that on your own! I typically prefer to learn things on my own but I’ll ask questions along the way. I’m happy my boyfriend knows all about databases and whatnot so he’ll most likely help me.

I’m in CS myself but I’m a freshman; I’m trying to get all the math out of the way within the first two years so the last two are strictly classes that actually deal with the major. I suck at math so to get it out of the way would be a lot easier for me.
