My Favorite Things: August 2019

My Favorite Things: August edition

In this post I’ll be sharing some of my favorite things about last month. Anything from books, movies, shows, games, and other things I’ve been enjoying.

Books

Invidious (The Marked Book Two)

As I mentioned for the first book of the series for last month‘s favorites, there are some aspects about the story and characters that seem too juvenile for my taste, but I’ve still felt interested to keep reading the rest of the book from the series.

I read the second book Invidious, I believe there were definite improvements with the flow of the story once you’re familiar with the characters. Looking forward to keep reading from the series (there are two more books from this series if I’m not mistaken) and finding out what happens after the cliffhanger from this book.

Gaming

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2

As a big fan of the first game: The Division, I got the second game as soon as it came out. I mostly played the story campaign via co-op with two of my friends. We recently finished the story campaign and were surprised to see that the endgame content has a lot to offer. I will definitely re-visit the game soon, especially since I have the season pass and would like to take advantage of it.

RAGE 2

RAGE 2 is an open-world action/adventure game, and a lot of fun. It’s one of those games that motivates you to complete every side-quest or activity, because it’s over the top and enjoyable. The character upgrades and abilities give you multiple ways to take enemies down. I am almost finished with the story campaign, but I’m working on finishing the rest of the activities on the map before tackling the final missions.

The Elder Scrolls Online

I had played The Elder Scrolls Online back when it was in beta. During Christmas 2018, I created another account and took advantage of Tamriel Unlimited. During the past week, I’ve been playing ESO frequently with two of my friends and have been enjoying it. This gives me my Elder Scrolls fix while the new game is being developed.

Technology

Mixer

I’ve been watching more Mixer streams for the past few months. It has become one of my favorite digital platforms. The Mixer community is very positive and welcoming, and have found myself meeting new streamers and enjoying their content a lot more in Mixer. They offer very unique features that focus on community interaction, which is great.

I’ve done a couple of streams on Mixer and have really enjoyed it, hoping I can be more active and do at least one stream a week if possible.

Question Time:

What were some of your favorite things last month? It can be anything from TV Shows, Movies, Books, Games, Apps, anything really.

  1. Hi! My name is Alice and I’m new here. I really like your blog, we have some geeky passions in common as well :)

A couple of August favorites are the Grimm TV show (currently watching season 3 and I love it!), The Sims 4 (played it at my friend’s house since I only have TS 3), and Trello (once more) because it keeps me sane. :D

Definitely adding your blog to my feed reader!
