Book club has made me love reading again

One of my friends had an idea of starting a book club via Discord. I’ve always liked reading, but have been dedicating my time on other things. Thinking about it, being part of a book club would give me accountability and a reason to keep reading consistently.

I joined the book club. The first book we read and discussed was The Girl with all the Gifts by M.R. Carey. The book was a pleasant read and I really had fun during the book discussion, we used Mural for some activities like word search puzzle, questions and character ratings.

We are now reading The Hobbit by J.R.R Tolkien. This is my first time reading Tolkien. The level of detail is very high so I’m hoping I remember all the important details by the time we discuss the book. I haven’t been able to read as much or as quickly as I’d like because of other commitments, but I’m looking forward to finishing it.

I’m very curious about what we’ll choose as our third book. Any suggestions?
